The latest issue of EGM contains a rumor that Factor 5 licensed out its Rogue Squadron games to an unnamed publisher who is updating the control schemes and visuals as of right now! The games would include the original Rogue Squadron for N64 plus Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike for the Gamecube. All 3 titles are going to be compiled on one Wii disc. With Nintendo making the recent announcement of "Play on Wii" which consisted of GCN remakes infusing Wii controls, I think its safe to say this rumor is true.
Check out our source here.
Remaking the franchise to suit the Wii is fine, but how about a new Rogue Squadron game? Those were some of the best games on the Cube and I would love to see another one on the little white box. Besides, what the hell else is Factor 5 doing? Making a sequel to the critically acclaimed Lair?

i lost touch of rogue squadron since 64
It would be nice to have tight multiplayer rogue squadron game, and its not like they don't have the lore or technology to do it. There is even book series they could pull the story from and the game would still be tight....I wonder what development companies are thinking when they make decisions like this....
