300 Sequel: This is Sparta!! (Part Deuce)

|
IESB.net had an exclusive interview with Zack Snyder who spilled some of the beans on what the 300 sequel would be about. Snyder told the site he has already spoken with the graphic novel's creator Frank Miller, who will be writing and drawing the graphic novel that the second film will be based on. Upon Miller's completion of the book, then, and only then, will they delve into writing a script for the movie. He said he would not have any input into the novel as he wants it to be a creation of Miller's 100%. It will take place between the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea, the battle that narrator Dilios is at while re-telling the story of King Leonidas and the mighty Spartans to a new group of warriors at the end of 300.

If they can capture lightning in a bottle a second time around, I am in!! The first movie blew my mind, so I definitely want to see what Snyder has planned for a sequel. For now lets focus on The Watchmen.

I don't know enough about Mediterranean history to know whether or not to be excited, but if they do this film like the 1st it should be tight.

A sequel? ... I guess they might carry on with the war at the end of the first movie, but I don't remember anything of note that the spartans did after the battle of thermopylae. Oh well, hope it is still good.
