The Nintendo Wii has been dominating the next gen console race and handheld market. So they must have something else up their sleeve other then a redesigned DS right? Joystiq has reported that former 1UP editorial director John Davison says that "Nintendo is currently showing early presentations of its next home console hardware" (according to "multiple sources in the game development and publishing community" that is!). Davison said, the few that have seen this mythical beast have dubbed it "Wii HD" – it's got HD visuals and "a greater emphasis on digitally distributed and backwardly compatible content." We' re barely 3 years into the next gen showdown between the Big 3 and already theres talk of newer consoles? Come on now! I want to be able to see my investment flourish before putting it away to see greener pastures! Out of the 3 Nintendo did need the hardware upgrade the most, so as long as its compatible with all previous Wii titles I'm all for it.
