According to Gamekyo, Square Enix has just announced a new action-rpg entitled Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles-Echoes of Time. The game will be playable on both the Wii and DS simultaneously. In addition, players will supposedly have the ability to play with the Mii characters from their Wii (This sentence just sounded so ridiculous...). The date of a US release is unknown, but it is set to launch in Japan on January 29th 2009. Below is a list of the game's capabilities:
- Play at the same time on the Wii and DS, thanks to Pollux Engine created by Square Enix.
- Players on the Wii and players on the Nintendo DS will be able to play online together.
- Different gameplay for the 2 versions (Stylus or Wiimote).
- Story revolves around Charlotta and a mysterious crystal.
- You can transfer Mii characters you made to the DS version.
