Hulk vs The Avengers?!

|

We already know that Marvel is working on an Avengers movie and that its set for release in 2011. What we didn't know is who The Avengers nemesis would be.

"The Incredible Hulk" Director Louis Leterrier had told MTV News this past June that he didn't think any villain could stand up to them, and suggested they use a hero instead: his.

"Iron Man" writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby couldn't agree more, insisting that everything is building up towards making The Hulk the villain in the eagerly anticipated movie for 2011.

“I hope ‘The Avengers’ embraces that,” Fergus said of having the Hulk as misunderstood baddie. “You don’t want like 10 super-badass good guys fighting together. Where’s the fun in that? Let’s break it off a little. Friends or colleagues who become enemies is always an interesting thing because you know it’s based on love and friendship and that’s always the worst thing to have turn bad — is someone you actually care about and someone you actually believe in.”

I think thats the perfect way to integrate the Avengers and the Hulk. It'd be nice to see Bruce feel more regret and remorse at the people he kills when he Hulks out too. It would add an incredible amount of humanity to his character. The last film was awesome, don't get me wrong, but I believe they should have played up that aspect of Bruce's character.
